綻びと咽びのキメラを撫でてみたら

楽になれる気がした
いまにも溶けてしまいそうな車窓に貼りつく青い日差し
数多の命を枯らしても私を明日へと駆り立てた
車輪の調べがまどろみ運ぶ
目蓋が落ちても影は残された
感動と感傷を混ぜ合わせ
適当に受け止められる何かにできたなら
家路のみすぼらしさに嫌気がさすこともなければ
眩しさに目を潰すこともない
二つの世界があると割り切ってみて
光と闇を神様みたく
許されるの
そちらに行けば
血統書付きの神話も
交配を重ねた哲学も
不都合を切り捨てるか切り揃えるかの違い
好きなものと嫌いなもの
そのまま一緒に抱えていてはいけないの
この街はまだ灯りを欲さない
朝と同じ青空を窓が映す
鍵を差そう
目は腫らさずに
昨日と

同じ帰り方なんてできないけど

構わないでしょう

Chimera
I stroked the chimera of tears and sobbing,
I stroked the chimera of happiness and disaster,
and it seemed to ease me up.
The blue sunlight stuck to the windows of the train, which seemed to be melting at any moment.
It spurred me on to tomorrow, even though it killed many lives.
The sound of the wheels lulling us to sleep.
Even when my eyelids fell off, the afterimage remained behind them.
If we could mix emotion and sentimentality and make them into something that we could take in stride,
we wouldn’t be disgusted by the shabbiness of the road home, nor blinded by the glare.
Try to separate the two worlds.
Separate light and dark, just like God.
Will we be forgiven if we go over there to one of the two worlds?
Both pedigreed myths and crossbred philosophies differ only in whether they truncate or align inconveniences.
Can't we just hold what we like and what we don't like together?
This city does not want lights yet.
The windows reflect the same blue sky as in the morning.
Let's put the key in the front door.
Let's keep our eyes from swelling.
I can't leave the same way I left yesterday, or before, though.
After I stroke the chimera of an open seam and a sob, of happiness and disaster.
I don't mind wrapping myself in a warm towel,
listening to that melody one more time,
and thinking about people who can't go home right now.

I’ve owned the Imperfect disc for a bit now, but had slept on the rest of the material, with the exception of Disquiet, until now. Much different than my normal dissonant, occult sound fare, but everything Unrequited creates is bursting at the seams with power and emotion. Respect and support.
